Bones of the Republic
"The Bones of the Republic"
Verse 1:
We built with hands of calloused pride,
The rails, the fields, the factories wide.
Our flag was more than thread and dye—
It stood for truth no gold could buy.
Verse 2:
But now the towers gleam with shame,
The oath is cheap, the game the same.
The songs of freedom fade and fall,
While silence haunts the Capitol.
Chorus 1:
O land of storms, O land once brave,
Your heart still beats beneath the grave.
We are the voice, the dust, the flame—
Remember us. Recall your name.
Verse 3:
The dream lies bruised, but not yet dead,
It waits where honest blood was shed.
In farmer’s toil and soldier’s vow—
The soul remains. We feel it now.
Verse 4:
So rise again, though years have passed,
Reclaim the fire, make virtue last.
Not by the sword, but by the will,
Let justice walk these valleys still.
Chorus 2:
O people forged from ash and stone,
You were not born to kneel alone.
The bones of truth, though buried deep,
Are yours to guard. Awake. And keep.
